MAGIC MOUTH MEISTER
About
Biography of Jason Braly
Jason Braly, AKA "MAGIC MOUTH MEISTER" is a native of Athens, Alabama and now lives in Fairhope, Alabama with his wife of 30 years. He has two, grown children, a boy and a girl. He has a B.S. degree with a double major in Theater and Art, and a Master's degree in Education. He has been drawing and performing in plays since early childhood, but did not discover that he could really act until his Senior, High School play, "Funky Winkerbean's Homecoming." A friend suggested they try out for a small role, but he got the lead and fell in love with acting. His High School literature class went to the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and saw plays. He recalls seeing the plays and said to himself "I can do that....I CAN DO THAT!" In undergraduate school, he began by focusing solely on art, but during his sophomore year, another friend suggested they try out for "Grease." Again, he was assuming he'd get a small role, but got one of the leads as "Kenickie." That's when his love with acting really began and he decided to double major in Theater and Art. During college, his fraternity brothers would hear him sing Elvis songs and asked him to sing "Blue Suede Shoes" in a show they performed. From that day forward he has been asked to do Elvis impersonations throughout the years. After undergraduate school, he and another theater major decided to go to L.A. to give acting a shot. During his third year there, he tried out for Steve Matin's "Picasso at the Lapin Agile." He was an understudy for four characters, Elvis being one of them, and acquired his Actors Equity Card. He then won the role of "Elvis" in an interactive video game/movie called "Fox Hunt" and acquired his Screen Actors Guild card American Federation of Television and Radio Arts card. He made it into all the unions, auditioned for many things, and had six call backs for the T.V. show "Frazier," but became burned out with the pursuit of acting and decided to move to Nashville for an Elementary Art Teaching position. He acquired his Masters degree in Education and taught for fifteen years, and as an adjunct Art Professor for seven. After battling a neuromuscular disease, called Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, CMT since 2004, he had to retire early and decided to focus on making welded sculptures from reclaimed metal. He always created voices of all kinds of character since childhood and wanted to do Voice Over work, but the equipment was too expensive and he had no idea how to do it, until recently when the equipment became affordable and most voice actors were expected to have a booth in their homes. Now that he has his own equipment and booth, he recently joined a company called "Outta Da Box Solutions" offering Excellent Photography and Voice Over Enhancement for Realtors. He also auditions for other Voice Over work and is available to enhance YOUR projects with incredible voice overs. Magic Mouth Meister....you never know what he'll pull out of the hat!
